Core is pleased to announce that we have re-invented ourselves since we closed our location in Deptford at the end of October 2011.  Each of our component parts – ExhibitionsDIY Educate and Engine Chat Chat will now be located at different sites.

Each of our managing members have gone onto develop their own exciting initiatives.  Here’s a run down of their activities:

 

Core @ Nolias gallery imageCORE @ Nolias Gallery -  Gillian Best Powell is partnering with Nolia’s Gallery to create a new exhibition space at 60 Great Suffolk Street, four blocks away from Tate Modern.  The inaugural exhibition is NEAR THE TATE featuring prints and drawing by Gillian and sculpture by Margaret Higginson.  Watch this space for upcoming exhibitions, events and news.

Rosalind Davis has partnered with Annabel Tilly to develop ZAP Zeitgeist Artist Projects.  Home of DIY Educate and Show & Tell, ZAP offer two new programmes this year: Surviving After Art School and Creative Practice Seminars.  ZAP, located in ASC Studios in New Cross Gate, also hosts an exhibition programme curated by Ros and Annabel.  Contact them atdiyeducate@gmail.com

Elizabeth Murton has partnered with Caroline Lambard to create ideas-matter-sphere an innovative initiative specializing in cross-disciplinary exhibitions and events.  Join Liz and Caroline at their informal pub debates to engage in subject specific discussions related to art, science and the humanities.  Contact them at info@ideas-matter-sphere.com
