Core Gallery is committed to engaging a wide cross-section of visitors, both art appreciators and art professionals alike.  Central to our mission is to provide high claibre, stimulating exhibitions.  We also view our exhibitions as an opportunity to present an in-depth look at what lies behind the process of making work and curating exhibitions.  Through our education programme,we created a unique opportuntiy to learn directly from artists, curators and arts professionals.

Core Gallery served its local artistic community by providing affordable studio spaces for artists.  Cor Blimey Studio complex was a supportive artistic environment and a flexible exhibition space.  This environment contributed directly to the creative excellence of our programmes. The gallery's location within a working studio complex fuelled an energetic and productive atmosphere.

' Core Gallery in its short term has established, intensified and brought a greater sense of confidence, purpose, function and cultural commitment to the core gallery resident studio group as well as the wider arts community in the area. '   Graham Crowley
